The Lend Your Leg Campaign is a civil society initiative born in Colombia in 2011 to raise awareness about the problem of landmines.

In its first year,,students joined, private companies joined rolling up their logos, and even the President of Colombia went to work with his pant leg rolled up! The result was passing and approving the Victims.

In 2012, Lend Your Leg expanded to 73 countries with support from the United Nations, the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL), and Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. The result was that the Government of Somalia signed the Mine Ban Treaty and the Chilean government adopted a victim assistance law.

In its third consecutive year, the Lend Your Leg campaign intends to focus its efforts on mobilizing global society, especially the young generation, to ask the remaining non-signatory states to join the Mine Ban Treaty and ask the sates parties of the Treaty to work harder on their goals. We need to end the terrible human consequences of landmines once and for all.
