The LineProblems app illustrates a prototype interface for multiple choice mathematics problems, particularly problems with a graphical component. In this app, an equation of a line is shown and the student must find the correct graph by browsing through a list of six choices. The interface for scrolling through the graphs is simply tapping on left and right arrows on the screen. A "double-tap" on the graph is used to select it. If correct, the student taps the screen as instructed to get another problem. This process is repeated seven times, and a total time for the task is reported. If a student gives an incorrect answer, a two-second penalty is enforced. Source code and tutorials for Android development in Flash can be found at flashandmath.com.
