About Linkage Android App
This application is intended for university students of genetics.
If the results from a cross in which two different loci segregate are available and know the number of descendants of each phenotype, the application will calculate whether the loci are linked or independent.
The Linkage application works with descents of three types of crossovers: backcross, F2 with complete dominance at both loci and F2 with codominance.
It also works with offsprings in which three loci are segregating simultaneously. In this case only it works with backcross. The application calculates whether the three loci are linked, see the central locus, recombination frequencies, genetic distances, the coefficient of coincidence and interference.
It is also possible if you know that two or three loci loci are linked and we know recombination frequencies predict the number of descendants of each phenotype in a particular cross.
