About LKar

The LKar is an app developed to provide several information, in real time, about your vehicle. It was designed to be very simple, with easy installation and use. Besides that, the battery consumption is low when compared with others apps.
Firstly, plug the ELM 327 (with a Bluetooth conexion) in your vehicle (in OBDII/OBD2 socket) and, with the vehicle turned on, run the Lkar. It is not necessary turn on the Bluetooth of your smartphone, the Lkar will do that verification and will turn on the Bluettoth, if necessary. After that, the Lkar will search for the ELM 327 e will pair automatically. The pairing code is 0000 or 1234 (1234 is most frequent). The pairing will be realized only in the fisrt execution.
After the pairing, the vehicle informations will be sent, by the ELM 327, to the Lkar and will appear in the smartphone screen, one data by tab. Below, the functions of the Lkar will be described.

Functions

Below will be presented the functions present in the LKar app:

* Engine RPM;

* Vehicle speed;

* Throttle position;

* Engine coolant temperature;

* Torque percentual (calculated engine load value);

* Air/fuel mixture instantaneous (short term fuel % trim);

* Air/fuel mixture average (long term fuel % trim);

* Distance traveled with malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) on;

* Request trouble codes (DTC).

Pré-requisites

Smartphone with Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) or higher and an ELM 327 with Bluetooth conexion. Figures present the ELM 327 used to develop and test the LKar.

Tests

The LKar was exhaustively tested for over 250 hours.

Observation: Some functions may not work in some vehicles, due to the ECU. Some ECUs can not send all the information to the LKar.
