LogScan allows you to:

* View and search the Android log file;
* Filter the information that is displayed by log tag and/or priority;
* View the log information in a "paged" manner - the size of each page is user selectable;
* Copy the current page of log lines to the system clipboard;
* Email the current (filtered) log information;
* Refresh the displayed log information from the live log file; and
* Clear the log file.

Your device does not have to be rooted to use this app. But, if your device is running Jelly Bean or later, this app will not be of much use unless you manually add the android.permission.READ_LOGS. This can be done by executing the command

adb shell pm grant au.id.kmg.logscan android.permission.READ_LOGS

If this is just techno-babble to you, then perhaps this app is not for you. Seriously! This app is for Android developers and hackers, so knowledge of "adb" is assumed.

KNOWN ISSUES

When using the search facility, the display will automatically be zoomed to a scale that ensures that the entire log line is visible on the screen.

The usually results in the font being so small as to be unreadable.

Pinch zoom can be used to enlarge the text, but this will be negated on the next find next/prior.

This seems to be a "feature" of the Android WebView class.
