Long Weekend Marmaris Projesi, Marmaris Belediyesi’nin, Denizli’de uyguladığı ve ülkemize uzun hafta sonu tatili algısını yerleştirmek adına yürüttüğü örnek bir projedir.

Pilot il olarak seçilen Denizli’de yürütülen bu tanıtım çalışması; 4 mevsim turizm çeşitliliğine sahip ender özelliğiyle yalnız Türkiye’nin değil, dünyanın sayılı turizm merkezlerinden biri olan Marmaris’in yerli turizm hareketliliğini artırmayı hedeflemektedir.

Tarihi ve doğal güzellikleri, mavi bayraklı plajları, uluslararası turizm işaretlemelerine sahip eşsiz yürüyüş ve bisiklet parkurları, su altı ve su üstü zenginlikleri, 4 mevsim turizm hareketliliğinin yaşandığı Marmaris’in tüm farklı yönlerinin tanıtıldığı Long Weekend Marmaris (Uzun Hafta Sonu Tatili Marmaris) projesinin www.longweekendmarmaris.com domainli web sitesinin cep telefonu uygulamaları ise kullanıcılara GPS sistemi ve Google Map üzerinden Marmaris’i rahatlıkla dolaşmalarına imkan vermektedir.

Marmaris, dünyanın en güzel turizm bölgelerinden birisidir. Kendi görev süremiz içerisinde Marmaris’in gerek kentte yaşayanlar gerekse dışarıdan gelen misafirlerimiz için cazip bir yaşam ve turizm bölgesi olması adına yoğun çalışma tempomuzu sürdürüyoruz.

Günümüzde Marmaris gibi dünyanın her yerinde 5 binin üzerindeki bölgelerin turizm destinasyonun olması rekabeti daha da acımasız hale getirdi. Turizm bölgesinin olmazsa olmazı doğal ve güzel kültürel, tarihi ve olabilen tüm zenginlikleri ile kamuoyuna tanıtabilmek için uluslararası fuar imkanları ve tanıtım malzemelerini kullanarak Marmaris ortamını hayata geçiriyoruz. Marmaris Belediyesi olarak bunu yapıyoruz. Geleneksel hale gelmiş olan uluslararası tüm fuarlarda bölgemizi tanıtan programlarımıza müdahil oluyoruz ve bunlara katılıyoruz.

Ancak biz bu sene bir eksikliği tespit ettik. Kendi ülkemizde ne kadar tanınıyoruz, hele hele bölgemize en yakın büyükşehir olan ‘Denizli acaba Marmaris’i ne kadar tanıyor’ diyerek, bu ilimizi kendimize pilot bölge seçtik. Bununla beraber çalışmalarımıza başladık. Bölgenin turizm ve seyahat acentelerini, Denizli’deki basın mensupları ile belli aralarda bir araya getiren program gerçekleştirdik. Geçtiğimiz süreç içerisinde Denizli’de, ilin işadamlarına ve oranın sivil toplum örgütlerine bölgeyi tanıtma adına bir yemek tertip ettik. Çok başarılı bir toplantı ve gece oldu. Bunun devamını getirmek için, Marmaris’in tanıtımı adına bu çalışmaları kendi bölgemizde sürdürmeye devam ediyoruz. Denizli’nin basın kuruluşları ile birlikte Marmaris’in tanıtımı adına bir dizi programa başladık.

Denizli, gerçekten sanayisiyle aynı zamanda turizm bölgesi olmasıyla, eğitim ve kültür seviyesiyle ve ülke bazında gerçekten seçkin bir noktada olması sebebi ile bizim pilot bölgemiz oldu. Denizli halkının turizm ve gezi amaçlı düşünebileceği en cazip nokta Marmaris olduğunu tüm Denizlili hemşerilerimize, dostlarımıza anlatmanın yolunu bu şekilde bulduk ve bu yol haritasına bu şekilde devam ediyoruz.

Biz sevgili Denizlili hemşerilerimizi, dostlarımızı Marmaris’te misafir edip, onları burada ağırlamak, rahat ettirmek ve kendi iş hayatlarındaki yorgunluğu, stresi atmaları için en cazip bölgenin Marmaris olduğunu ispat etmek istiyoruz.
