ПФК “Лудогорец” е наследник на създаденото през 1945 г. Дружество за физкултура и спорт „Лудогорец“. Досега отборът не е играл в елитната „А” професионална футболна група на България, но в града има традиции в подготовката на професионални футболисти и „Лудогорец“ се радва на много силна подкрепа от обществеността.

Традиционно в своята 56-годишна история клубът се е състезавал в “Б“ професионална футболна група на Българското първенство. Най-значимите постижения в историята му са достигане на два баража, играни през годините, за влизане в “А“ група.

Повратният момент в историята на “Лудогорец“ е решението на известните български индустриалци Кирил и Георги Домусчиеви да инвестират във футболното бъдеще на града. Благодарение на тяхната подкрепа, сезон 2010/2011 г. завършва с исторически успех – отборът става шампион на „Б“ футболна група и спечелва промоция за „А“ група.

Ludogorets PFC Razgrad
Professional Football Club “Ludogorets” is a successor of the 1945 founded Association for Physical Education and Sport “Ludogorets”. So far the Club hasn’t played in the Bulgarian elite “A” Professional Football League, but the City of Razgrad has well established traditions in training professional football players and is enjoying very strong society support. Traditionally in 56 years of history, the Club has completed in "B" Professional Football League of the Bulgarian Championship. The most significant achievements during the years are reaching two playo?s for entering “A”League.

The turning point in the history of "Ludogorets" is the decision of the well-known Bulgarian industrialists Kiril and Georgi Dumuschievs to invest in the football future of the city. Thanks to their support, the season 2010/2011 ends with a historical success - the team becomes champion of "B" Professional Football League and wins a promotion to "A" League.
