Sorry for the delay between updates. A brand new version of the application is now in development. This update fixes a number of known bugs
Changes:
- All new sets included
- Pricing information updated
- Scanning now works for Oath of the Gatewatch, Shadows over Innistrad, Eldritch Moon & Kaladesh
- Due to limitations in the technology behind scanning ONLY the above sets will work (Limited to 1000 cards).
Known Issues:
Camera may be blocked on Android 6. Enable in settings > app permissions
About MagicScanner Android App
MagicScanner is an application designed to assist you manage your MTG collection along with quickly look up pricing information and card details of all cards.
Currently Magic Scanner is able to scan a select number of cards from the most recent sets using the device's camera and load information on the card. This information includes pricing information from MTGPrice.com along with all rulings text and legalities for that card.
Card scanning currently only works for the most recent sets included Battle for Zendikar, Origins, Dragons of Tarkir and Fate Reforged. This will be expanded in the future
In addition to scanning cards users have the ability to view cards from all sets and receive the same information (Price, Legality, Rules).

Please note: MagicScanner is currently in beta and will be undergoing a number of changes over the next few months.
Current Features:
- Scan a card using phone/tablet's camera to load up information (Requires Internet & Only currently supports Battle For Zendikar, Dragons of Tarkir, Fate Reforged and Origins)
- View all MTG Sets and Promo's for cards (Includes MTGO only sets)
- View card information including card image & pricing information (From MTGPrice.com)
- View what sets a card is banned or restricted in
- View all rulings made on any given card from WOTC

- Ability to store cards into custom collections/decks to better manage card collection
