Rooted in fond memories of Mandar Vedghoshe,
Mandar-And-No-More is a campaign to save
lives from the dangers of water-bodies.
The life of this young, promising, happy
and sensitive boy abruptly came to an end
on 21st March 2015, due to a drowning
accident in Kerwa-Dam water-body, in Bhopal.
He was only 16. Reportedly, as many as 176
persons have died at this location, since the
construction of dam. Hundreds of friends, from
India and abroad, were deeply pained by this
loss. Their agony soon transformed into a
resolve to initiate measures to prevent more
deaths in this place. The efforts of this team
took the form of this campaign -
"Mandar-And-No-More", which manifests their
loving remembrance of Mandar,their real tribute
to him and their commitment to save lives from
the dangers of water bodies. The essence of this
effort is to find solace in trying to prevent
others from facing such grief.
To evolve an environment, as well as, a mind-set that helps in
prevention of water-body accidents, for all, including those who
love water-sports and adventures.
To make the waterbodies of the country safe, accident free, yet
welcoming the tourists. by assuring the safety measures and
spreading awarenss across the masses.
