About Map Data Collector Android App
This application is converted to android from the app.mapdatacollector.com web application. It has all the characteristics of the web application.
It works as a database for storing data in the cloud, such as DropBox, Google Drive, Box..., but running over a map view.
This is a good tool for Land Surveying, Real State, Inspection, or any other company or person that works with many files like photos, videos, PDFs, DWGs, field notes..., and you want to geolocalize your projects and files, and then access from any device connected to the internet.
Features:
- Map based on OpenStreetMap.
- Support to store all the data in DropBox, with automatic backup to our servers.
- Create an Administrator user, and this administrator can have as many users as he wants.
- A cloud storage service such as DropBox, Google Drive, Box, and One Drive will be required for an Administrator user.
- Create "Maps" and "Jobs" within those "Maps". These maps are to organize the database by zip code, city, region or state, country...
- Create jobs based on street address or geographic coordinates.
- Search and filter options allows users to quickly find job locations and files.
- The ability to tract job status using 4 color coded status categories. (Started, Working, In Progress, Finished)
- Upload all types of files from anywhere on the planet and from any mobile device, Tablet or PC. (Does not support Windows Mobile devices)
- Each file has the options of: Preview, Download, Rename, Cut, Copy and Delete (For Administrators only). Preview and Download (For Users).
- There are no limitations to the amount of Maps or Jobs that can be stored.
- "Zoom" buttons and a "Find Me" button to return the map view to where you are working.
- Possibility to chat between users, although this function is still limited, you can only chat if both users are using the app at the same time.
