Access any Android app without touching the screen, using the buttons of a mouse or joystick as input device. The mouse must be connected to the Android tablet or smartphone with the help of a USB OTG cable. The buttons can be replaced by switches if the mouse is properly adapted. Mefacilyta Click draws a mouse cursor on the screen that the user moves and controls with her input device.
It also allows access to some Android "function keys" (home screen, go back, show notifications, show recent apps).
THIS APP USES ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES.
IMPORTANT: FOR ADVANCED FEATURES, PLEASE, INSTALL MOUSE4ALL THAT REQUIRES THE USE OF A HARDWARE BOX
To use the app, you must open the app and push on "Start" button. The app displays a mouse cursor. The user can move the cursor around the screen using her input device and can perform the gestures or actions required to control any app (move, click, scroll). Use the Mefacilyta Click menu displayed on the screen to select which action or gesture will be executed next. When the user pushes the mouse button, the current menu icon is selected and its associated action executed (e.g. move the cursor left, click, go back to the main screen, etc.)
For an overview of available menus and icons, check http://mouse4all.com/es/support/guide-menus-icons/ (in Spanish). By default, Mefacilyta Click works with the left mouse button (or the adapted switch connected to this button).
The working mode of Mefacilyta Click together with the required input device can be configured from the Preferences menu of the app ("Settings" button in the main screen).
When the Mefacilyta Click app is active, the touch screen does not react normally to the user gestures. If you want to stop Mefacilyta Click and reset the normal behaviour of the touch screen, you have to press for two seconds in any point of the screen until the Mefacilyta Click UI disappears.
To restart Mefacilyta Click service you can either:
- go to Mefacilyta Click icon and push on "Start" button
- or expand Android Notifications menu (usually in the top-left corner of the screen) and click on the Mefacilyta Click notification "RESTART" marked with a red dot.
THIS APP USES ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES.
The Accessibility service enables Mefacilyta Click to perform the following actions: go to home screen, return back to the previous screen, show the list of recent active apps, show the list of notifications, click on a window element, scroll on a point of the screen. To execute some of these actions Mefacilyta Click needs to access the graphical elements displayed on screen. However Mefacilyta Click never accesses or stores any user data.
Known limitations:
Since the app relies on Android accessibility API (Android 6.0) we cannot ensure that a click, swipe or scroll gesture is properly executed every time that the action is selected in the Mefacilyta Click menu. For example, the app will not be able to click or scroll on some browsers or on applications that are implemented as a web view. Similarly some virtual keyboards may not work.
These limitations are the known and expected behaviour of Android platform (6.0). If you want to avoid these usability limitations you can use the Mouse4all app downloadable from Google Play that requires an external connection box connected to your Android device through the micro USB connector.
This version of Mefacilyta Click Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
