About METIS 4 Android App
METIS is a simple application designed for dispatchers of winter road maintenance to support their decision-making. The application provides dispatchers with the current data from road weather stations.
The application utilizes the user's location in the navigation mode and filtration of weather stations around the user.
The application has the following sections and features:
LIST OF STATIONS
- Stations by warning or region
- List of favourite stations
- Selecting favourite weather stations
- Filtering stations by distance from the user
STATION DETAIL
- Information on air - temperature, humidity, precipitation, visibility, wind
- Information on road - temperature, freezing point, water level, status, warning
- Station information - position, altitude, technology
- The current image from the camera
MAP
- Choice of 4 elements to display - station warning, road condition, air temperature, surface temperature
- Basic information from the weather station by clicking on the station
- Setting of favourite position
NAVIGATION
- Based on the tracking of the user the application provides basic data from the closest weather station, with a preference for stations in the direction of movement
- Choice of 4 elements to display just like on the Map page
FORECASTS
- Issuing of forecasts has been discontinued
