Push a button, get Metro info. This is Metro Now.
Metro Now is designed to put as few steps as possible between you and the Metro info you need right now. Opt in to the Smart Start feature, and Metro Now will automatically show the next train times for the closest station when you start the app. If we got it wrong, or you're just interested in a farther-away station, just name the line and station and we'll get the info you need. Metro Now automatically checks for service alerts, and politely notifies you when delays affect the station you're looking at. Any time the alert button is lit up, there's an alert. Simply tap the button to see all alerts.
A note on Location: Metro Now uses the Google Play Services "Fused Location Provider", which combines location data from both GPS and cell tower information. Metro Now simply reads the most recently recorded location which saves a significant amount of time and battery. This may lag if you are moving quickly (in a car or train, for example). Unfortunately, the cellular transmitters in underground stations sometimes report the wrong location. We recommend loading the app as you approach your station.
