Step 1. Choose Assessment Year.
Step 2. Choose your residential status.
Step 3. If you are an Indian Resident, then choose your age group.
Step 4. Enter your Income for the respective assessment year.
Step 5. Enter amount of deductions(in rupees) you are eligible for.
Step 6. Press Calculate. That's it!

Finally it shows, Amount of Income tax , Rebate amount (if you are eligible for) and Total tax liability (after deducting rebate).

Using HRA (House Rent Allowance) Calculator you can calculate Taxable amount of HRA and Exempted amount of HRA.

Steps for Calculation of HRA using this calculator:
Step 1. Enter "Basic" Salary per annum.
Step 2. Enter Dearness Allowance, HRA received from employer and Rent paid by you in the respective textbox.
Step 3. Press Calculate. That's it!

Finally you come with the amount of exempted HRA and taxable HRA.

House rent allowance benefits are only available to salaried individuals.
