The bathroom is a room where a person can bathe to cleanse his body. Sometimes the bathroom is also equipped with a sink (hand wash) and also an outhouse.

In general, the bathroom can be divided into two types, namely "wet" and "dry".

The wet bathroom usually has a water bath. From this tub, people scoop water with a scoop that is then splashed onto his body. This bathroom is most commonly used in Indonesia. This is mainly due to the flow of water is not always guaranteed, or where there is no water flow, so it takes a reservoir with water that is ready for use at any time.

The dry bathroom usually provides a special place for the person who is bathing. Bath ways are different, usually using a shower (English: "shower") or by sitting or half lying soaking in a bathtub.

This big tub is sometimes also coupled with a shower so people do not have to always soak in the tub. This is done to further conserve water usage.

Dry bathrooms are most prevalent in Western countries, especially as their waterways are more secure.
