About Mitr IIT Madras Android App
Mitr is a body comprising faculty and senior students at IIT Madras. The objective of Mitr is to provide guidance to the students on the various academic and extra-curricular activities on campus, and to counsel students who are facing any curriculum-related, or personal problems.
The main purpose of development of the app is "To help the freshers during their initial days at IIT Madras"
Mobile App includes the following information:
1.About Mitr: this page describes about what Mitr is and what it does
2.Important Douments: this section includes the following documents(the documents are embedded in the app,u don't need to download them)
(i) schedule of admission July 2014 for UG/PG/MS/PHD at IITM
(ii) MS-PHD orientation Session 2014-15 timetable
(iii) Academic Calendar for Jul-Nov 2014 semester
3.Contacts: this section includes the contacts of MITR team, Hostel Wardens, and Chennai Call Taxi Contact details
4.How to reach the Campus: this section includes the information about how to reach the campus from Chennai Airport or Railway station or Bus Station
5.Important Links:this section includes website links which will be helpful to freshies during their initial days
6.Freshman Guide Book: this section describes about the IIT Madras institute
7. Insti Maps: this sections includes the following features
(i)show a location: this will show the selection location(inside iit madras) in the google maps
(ii)show directions: this will give the route map between two locations inside iit madras
(iii)show all landmarks: this will show all the major landmarks of the iit madras in google maps
8.Facilities in Insti: this section contains the details about the facilities at iit madras and their operating timings
9.Campus Life: this section describes about the life at IIT Madras
10.Insti Lingo: this sections contains institute language
11. Checklist: this sections includes the items which you should by after reaching the campus
