• Tube water level algorithm based on recorded sound
• Automatic value for PVC pipes
• Algorithm accuracy within 1 – 2 cm

Sound recording requirements
• Parameters configurable per location: pipe diameter,
average temperature in the pipe (Beta; demo D=43mm, T=15C)
• Measurements are taken in a round pipe of solid material
• The pipe can be curved
• The diameter should be the same throughout the length
• Pipe length 0.15 – 30 m
• Pipe diameter 10 – 125 mm
• Microphone and speaker located at bottom of phone
• Speaker and microphone should not be covered
• Tolerated: low to moderate surrounding sound
disturbances, like conversations, pumps and traffic
• Tolerated: moderate pollution and tubes/wires inside tube

Picture requirements
• Staff gauge centered
• At least five stripes visible in the picture
• Maximum distance to staff gauge 25m
• Staff gauge needs to be relatively clean and clearly visible
• Vertical orientation of the SG within a bound of ±20°
• Horizontal orientation of the SG within a bound of ±45°
