Updated description.
The MS diagnosis App offers an interactive decision tree that leads the physician through the most recent (2010) McDonald criteria for multiple sclerosis (MS). Depending on the information entered by the physician the required additional information is queried step by step to reach a final conclusion on fulfillment of the criteria in the most efficient way.
The approach has been created by Bernard Uitdehaag, professor of clinical neuroepidemiology and neurologist at the MS Center Amsterdam of the VU University Medical Center in The Netherlands.
The App also provides definitions of an attack (exacerbation) and for monofocal and multifocal clinical presentation. In addition the App has typical examples of the key presentations of MS on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): periventricular, juxtacortical, infratentorial and in the spinal cord.
The App is designed for use by medical professionals, in particular neurologists.
This version of MS diagnosis Android App comes with one universal variant which will work on all the Android devices.
