Syekh Abdurrahman Sudais lahir pada tahun 1961 di Riyadh, Arab Saudi. Ia berasal dari Bani Anza. Pada usia 12 tahun beliau telah hafal alqur'an. Tumbuh di kota Riyadh, menamatkan pendidikan dasar di Al-Munatha bin Harits, kemudian beliau melanjutkan ke Fakultas Syari’ah Universtas Riyadh.

Pada tahun 1404 beliau ditunjuk sebagai Imam dan Khotib Masjid al-Haram, Makkah. Di sana pertama kalinya beliau menjadi imam pada sholat Ashr tanggal 22 Sya’ban 1404 H. Khutbah pertama pada hari kelima belas bulan Ramadhan 1404 H. Dalam tahun yang sama, Syeikh Abdul Rahman mendapat gelar Master Degree, dengan predikat “Excellent” dari Fakultas Syari’ah Universitas Imam Muhammad bin Saud. Beliau diberi tugas untuk menjadi asisten dosen di Universitas terkemuka Ummul Qura’, Makkah, di universitas ini pula gelar Doktornya diraih dan lulus dengan predikat “Excellent” kemudian beliau ditunjuk menjadi Dosen Fakultas Syari’ah di universitas ini.Shaykh Abdurrahman Sudais was born in 1961 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He came from Bani Anza. At age 12 he had memorized the Quran. Growing up in the city of Riyadh, completing his primary education at Al-Munatha bin Harith, then he went to the Faculty of Shariah Universtas Riyadh.

In 1404 he was appointed as Imam and Khotib Masjid al-Haram, Makkah. There the first time he became a priest at the Asr prayer on 22 Sha'ban 1404 H. The first sermon on the fifteenth day of Ramadan 1404 H. In the same year, Sheikh Abdul Rahman received his Master Degree, with the title of "Excellent" from the Faculty of Sharia 'ah Imam Muhammad bin Saud University. He was given the task to an assistant professor at the University of Umm Al-Qura leading ', Makkah, at this same university doctoral degree and graduated with honors achieved "Excellent" and then he was appointed as Lecturer in the Faculty of Sharia at this university.
