Help app to calculate the Carbohydrate (CH) servings that a certain food or menu contains and calculate the glycemic load (GL) of each food based on the glycemic index (GI) of the food
With this simple calculator you will be able to quickly obtain how many servings of Carbohydrates (HC) your menu has, what is its glycemic load (GL) or consult the glycemic indices (GI) of a specific food.
This app can help you control your diabetes, calculating the carbohydrate (CH) servings you are going to consume and the glycemic load (GL) of these foods.
According to the value of the Glycemic Index (GI) we have several levels:
1. Low level -> Values below 55 (marked in Green)
2. Medium level -> Values between 56 and 69 (marked in Orange)
3. High Level -> Values higher than 69 (Marked in Red Color)
According to the value of the Glycemic Load (GL) we have several levels:
1. Low level -> Values below 10 (marked in Green)
2. Medium level -> Values between 10 and 19 (marked in Orange)
3. High Level -> Values higher than 19 (Marked in Red Color)
A food with a high Glycemic Index (GI) may have a low Glycemic Load (GL), it all depends on the amounts of food consumed
Remember A low Glycemic Load (GL) causes blood glucose to rise more slowly, while a high glycemic load (GL) will give us a spike in blood glucose.
The Glycemic Index (GI) data has been extracted from:

The calculation of the glycemic load (GL) is carried out with the formula:
(grm food * 10 / grams 1 HC portion) * IG / 100
The calculation of the carbohydrate (HC) rations is carried out with the formula:
grm food / grams 1 portion HC
The total HC servings of the Menu Calculator are made by adding the servings of each food that is included in the menu
