Update to support latest Android releases
As the original paper-edition MYPLAN was created with the intention of being a self-help tool for management of suicidal crisis.
By being readily available, the app intends to enhance feelings of being safe both for the user
as well as their family and friends.
In addition, the app is designed to increase awareness of crisis symptoms by improving recognition of these and establish own experience with self-help skills.
As shown in the above pictures, the app consists of a menu with seven items:
1) My Symptoms, where personal signs of crisis can be entered,
2) Strategies and solutions, where own coping strategies for crisis situations can be
listed,
3) Network, where contact persons are included,
4) Editable nearest emergency department,
5) Editable hotline,
6) Editable hotline,
7) About MYPLAN, which provides specifics regarding the app.
The individual items
1)-6) are empty upon installation. The user fills in details on own symptoms of crisis,
coping strategies, contact persons aided by a simple template explaining how these sections should be filled in.
We recommend that you prepare MYPLAN in a peaceful time. So it is ready before you face a crisis.
