The Mobile Android Applications allows students and lecturers to access their personal class schedule on their Mobile Android Device.
The application is designed to be easy to use, so it contains only the essential functionality needed to reach its aim.
This application adheres to the Android human interface guidelines for a productivity application; therefore, the user should feel comfortable using the application, right away.
The first time the user signs into the application, the Android device would synchronize with the web service. This means that all sessions that the particular student/lecturer is scheduled to attend would be downloaded to the user’s device. Each time there is a schedule change for the student/lecturer, the change would be pushed to the user’s device. After logging in once, the user would no longer be required to log in again; however, if the user wants to log in with another student/lecturer ID, he/she can do so through the Settings functionality. Every twelve (12) hours an automatic refresh of the student’s/lecturer's schedule is done to ensure that the user’s device is kept with current and up – to – date information. If perhaps, the user’s device does not do the automatic refresh, a manual refresh can be done through the Settings functionality.
