About Nature Spotter Android App
Nature Spotter is aimed at people who are not expert ecologists but who want to keep a record their own nature observations.
The approach is quite generic, covering all types of observations (e.g. birds, plants, animals) and the user sets up and manages species lists to meet their own needs. Location, date and time are recorded automatically and the user can add notes and associate an image with each observation. Observations are stored in a database on the phone, full functionality is provided to add /search/view/modify/delete records.
Locations can be viewed on Google Maps and images are picked and referenced with File Manager. The contents of the database can be exported in csv format for use in external spreadsheets and databases. A kml export is also provided, this allows the data and images to be viewed in Google Earth.
