Nature Today houdt u op de hoogte van de actuele gebeurtenissen in de natuur in Nederland en daarbuiten. Biologen geven u dagelijks informatie over onder andere vlinders, zoogdieren, amfibieën, libellen, planten, zeedieren en vogels. Nature Today is voortgekomen uit Natuurbericht.

Sinds 2008 publiceren biologen van natuurorganisaties en kennisinstellingen dagelijks twee berichten over actuele ontwikkelingen in de natuur in Nederland op Natuurbericht.nl. Op 26 november 2015 is Natuurbericht.nl overgegaan naar Naturetoday.com. Nature Today heeft net als Natuurbericht het doel de samenleving te informeren over actuele gebeurtenissen in de natuur door gebruik te maken van:

- Resultaten uit bestaande ecologische monitoringprogramma’s;
- Aanwezige ecologische kennis bij natuurorganisaties en kennisinstellingen;
- Nieuwe programma’s en ICT-technologieën voor analyse, voorspelling en (live) visualisatie van gebeurtenissen in de natuur.

De visie van Nature Today is:
Door het publiek en specifieke doelgroepen continu en actief te informeren over actuele ontwikkelingen in de natuur wordt de verbondenheid met, kennis over en waardering voor de natuur versterkt en is men meer gemotiveerd om actief bij te dragen aan monitoring, beheer en behoud van natuur.Today naturally keep you informed of current events in nature in the Netherlands and abroad. Biologists give you daily information on, among other butterflies, mammals, amphibians, dragonflies, plants, marine life and birds. Today naturally emerged from Naturereport.

Since 2008, biologists publish environmental organizations and research institutions daily two reports on current developments in the countryside in Netherlands in Natuurbericht.nl. On November 26th, 2015 Natuurbericht.nl was transferred to Naturetoday.com. Nature Today, like Naturereport the purpose of informing the public about current events in nature by using:

- Results from existing environmental monitoring programs;
- Present ecological knowledge in environmental organizations and research institutions;
- New programs and ICT technologies for analysis, prediction and (live) visualization of events in nature.

The vision of Nature Today is:
By the public and specific target groups to inform actively and continuously on current developments in the nature, the closeness to, knowledge of and appreciation for nature and strengthens one is more motivated to actively contribute to the monitoring, management and conservation of nature.
