NHRD Network - Chandigarh Chapter is a Local Chapter of National HRD Network, which is an association of professionals committed in promoting the HRD movement in the country. It is a non-profit organisation and is dedicated to development human resources through education, training, research, and experience sharing. The National HRD Network believes in co-existence and it strives to bring together various management associations in the country to avoid overlapping, and provide a variety of activities to professionals, irrespective of their membership status.

The National HRD Network’s office in the initial years was housed in the premises of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and it also provided administrative facilities for the HRD network. Subsequently the Centre for HRD at XLRI functioned as the Secretariat of Network. With the active association of members of the Centre for HRD, XLRI, and other volunteers in various cities, the first Executive Board was formed in October 1986, and the Network has formally registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, on 6th December 1986.
