This application demonstrates a method for finding regular expressions in strings using a nondeterministic finite state automaton as described in the book "Algorithms" by Robert Sedgewick and Kevin Wayne. To search for an expression, enter a string in the upper text field and a regular expression in the lower text field and then tap on the "Search" button. Regular expressions can include letters, numbers, parentheses, "closure" operators (*), and "or" operators (|).
