National Tsing Hua University joined Taiwan OpenCourseware(OCW) Consortium in 2009. In order to break the limitation of time, reduce the learning gap, the open courseware is designed to be more effective and user-oriented. Through the custom design platform, users all over the world can have access to the open courses we provided without password. We hope the users can acquire knowledge from our excellent teachers by using open courseware.


We have the courses of College of Engineering, College of Science, and College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Our courses include basic and advanced classes delivered by outstanding teaching award-winning teachers. There are 50 popular courses available now for online users, users just need to enter the keywords like school year, the name of the course, teachers, then they can find the courses they're interested in. The course pages include syllabus and the links of the speeches and the news of the professors, even the academic commentary.


In response to the needs of different users, the platform provide support for many multimedia formats. The courses can also be downloaded to devices like PC or smart phones, the users can view online courses whenever and wherever they want. In addition to the online courses and the information of the teachers, there are notes, learning materials, book list related to the course and even assignments and retired tests on the platform students can learn at home and set their own pace of learning. OCW breaks the boundaries of time and space, the users can learn in a more flexible and efficient way.

"Experience is the best teacher", we believe that the feedback from the users is the stepping stone to excellence. Therefore, we have questionnaire to investigate opinions from users, and we will expand the courses according to these opinions. We will also have the users data analysis system to analyze the click numbers of the courses, so we can know what we can improve in the future in order to fulfill our educational goals and provide a high quality online learning platform.
