About O3b Line of Sight Survey Android App
This app is for use by technicians performing formal antenna site surveys for O3b Networks and who are authorized by O3b and GVF to access to application, as determined by enrollment in the relevant online training course and/or subscription plan. After installation, you are required to log in using your O3b (GVF) online learning system to activate the functionality of the app. Once you log in successfully, the app will continue to run even if you have no internet connection, but it will periodically check your account status when it can.
The app overlays the O3b satellite arc on the camera view, together with an azimuth-elevation grid. Surveyors use the app to determine if there is sufficient clearance around obstacles such as trees and buildings for the planned antenna to access the O3b satellites. It records screen captures to the phone's Camera Roll for you to use later in reports.
Uses the phone's camera, location, accelerometer, and network connection.
