About Octopus Universal IR Remote Android App
Octopus Universal IR is a simple IR remote control app for Samsung Galaxy S4s that allows you to download and use IR remotes from an extensive online database. This app may or may not work for other Android devices with IR blasters. Please let me know if you give it a try on any other devices with built in IR transmitters.
• Custom buttons for remotes
- Tap on a unused, grayed out button to assign a remote code to that button.
- Press and hold an assigned button to reassign the button.
• Enter custom codes in either the ProntoHex or GlobalCache format.
• Access your saved remotes from the collapsible sidebar.
• Common buttons are automatically mapped to a simple user interface. Unmapped buttons will be grayed out.
• The "list all" button for each remote shows a list of all available buttons for the selected remote. Press any entry in this list to send its IR code.
• Delete saved remotes from "Manage Devices" menu option.
• Screen rotation enabled for devices with IR blasters on the side of the device.
