About OPNIME Android App

OPNIME is an application that connects Android terminal to OPTOELECTRONICS OPN series data collector / scanner (hereinafter called “OPN”) via Bluetooth SPP and converts the read barcode data into keyboard data.
By using this application, inputting the read barcode data into the text input filed of any application like Notepad is possible.

●How to Connect
1. Add OPNIME to Android side’s virtual keyboard.
2. Set OPN to SPP mode.
*Refer to the OPN Quick Start Guide or Instruction manual for how to switch to SPP mode.
3. Press and hold the OPN function key for 3 seconds.
When the OPN’s blue LED blinks, it is waiting for connection from other device.
4. Search the OPN from “Setting” “Bluetooth” on the Android side and process pairing.
5. After paring is completed, open the active application that allows key input and select Android terminal input method to OPNIME.
6. Press and hold the OPNIME keyboard switch key to open the menu, select secure connection or insecure connection and select the OPN device to connect.
7. If OPN is already paired, select the device from the list.
If it is not in the list, start over from step 2.
8. When the connection is completed, OPN blue LED turns off and makes connection complete sounds.
* Once connection is completed, OPNIME sends “P3”: with ACK/NAK control, and “WC”: with command response to OPN to set.
