About Optikaliper Virtual Ruler Measuring Tool Android App

Measure any 1D/2D object using a known reference object! Place a coin, credit card, or sheet of paper next to an object to dimension, and take a photo. Indicate which object is the known reference object and which object you want to measure. The app uses the size of the reference object to measure the target object.

Possible uses include:
-Measuring small hardware
-Dimensioning a parcel
-Measuring the length of a fish
-Measuring the gauge of wire or thickness of rope
-Measuring the construction materials like wood
-And many other uses!

Measurements include:
-1D line or arc
-Smallest containing rectangle
-Smallest containing circle
-Perimeter
-Area

This app is meant to measure relatively small objects at a distance of at most a few meters. The app assumes the two objects being dimensioned are at approximately the same depth.

Given a rectangular reference object like a sheet of paper, the app can correct for perspective distortion.

Important: This app requires the OpenCV Manager, which you can download from the Play Store.
