Si tratta di una newsletter bimensile accessibile online gratuitamente. It is a bi-monthly newsletter available online for free. OrphaNews Italy presents a review of scientific information and policy on rare diseases and orphan drugs and covers the following topics: the discovery of new genes and new syndromes, basic research and clinical advances in the care of patients, initiatives national and international policies, the epidemiological surveillance activities, updates on clinical trials, the approval of new orphan drugs, funding opportunities, ethical, social and legal initiatives and events organized by the associations of patients, conferences and scientific conferences and new publications. OrphaNews Italy is directed to all stakeholders in the community of rare diseases and orphan drugs, including politicians, researchers, health professionals, patients' representatives and the biopharmaceutical industry, geneticists and anyone who wants to be informed about the most relevant news and new initiatives in this field.
