Os Dez Mandamentos é o nome dado ao conjunto de leis que segundo a Bíblia, teriam sido originalmente escritos por Deus em tábuas de pedra e entregues ao profeta Moisés. Este, ao apresentar os mandamentos do amor a Deus (os quatro primeiros) e ao próximo (os outros seis), traça, para o povo eleito e para cada um em particular, o caminho de uma vida liberta da escravidão do pecado.
