Oversize Guide was designed to simplify the task of determining pilot car requirements for overdimensional loads.

To properly bid on an overdimensional load, you must first determine what you will need for pilot cars, police escorts, surveys, etc. It used to be that in order to do this you would have to either research it online, contact a pilot car company and hope they were honest, or look it up state by state in a pilot car directory book.

Now this task has been made extremely simple. All you have to do is enter the loads over-all dimensions (truck, trailer, and load), select the states you will travel through, and view the results.

Results are laid out in a simple to read format, with any positive results (i.e. escort needed) displayed in red to grab attention. The results screen also provides tabs to see current state’s permit office information (mailing address, phone/fax numbers, etc.) as well as a details page that displays the actual description from the state’s laws that describes escort requirements so you can verify information on main results screen are accurate, should you desire to.
