Palmistry is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years and it's roots can be traced back to Indian Astrology .
The Hindu sage Valmiki is thought to have written a book, whose title translates as "The Teachings of Valmiki Maharshi on Male Palmistry", comprising 567 stanzas, more than 5,000 years ago.

Palmistry has no scientific basis, rather, it is, like astrology, the product of observation.
The reader usually begins by reading the person's dominant hand (the hand he or she writes with or uses the most, which is considered to represent the effect of life on the lines, whereas the other hand shows the traits you were born with).
