The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca, litterally means "black and white cat-foot"; simplified Chinese:"big bear cat"), also known as Panda Bear or simply panda, is a bear native to south central China. However, the IUCN does not believe there is enough certainty yet to reclassify the species from endangered to vulnerable.
