Parks and Rec (NY) lets users search for parks, playgrounds, and recreational areas in New York City. See what facilities are available (e.g. bathrooms, pools, handball courts, basketball courts, softball fields, dog runs, etc.) at these areas. This is great if you're planning an outing and one person wants to play handball while another wants to play basketball because you can search for parks that have both these facilities so everyone can enjoy their activity. Ever wonder if people are playing handball or some other activity at a particular park but don't want to make the trip all the way there to see? Since this app allows users to check in to a park, you can use the app to see if other people are checked in for handball at a particular park. It is great for playing sports, hanging out with friends, group exercising, parents with kids looking to mingle with other parents with kids, and much more.
