Reinhard Bonnke was born in 1940 in East Germany. At that time World War II was raging. He is the fifth of six children. Together with his mother, they fled as refugees. By boarding the ship, they crossed the Baltic Sea and landed in Denmark. They are in a refuge surrounded by barbed wire. To survive, they are forced to scavenge for food. A bitter childhood. "So that's why I'm so sorry for the homeless and the poor," he recalls in an interview. At the age of nine, he and his brothers returned to Germany. His father was then a pastor and had pioneered the church in Hamburg, West Germany. That's where he grew up.

Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke is known for his remarkable evangelistic ministry throughout the African continent. Reinhard gave his life to God at the age of nine, and heard his call for mission field (preaching the gospel) before he was a teenager. After completing his theological education at Bible College, Wales, Reinhard became a priest in Germany for seven years and then began his missions mission in South Africa. There, on a small hill in Lesotho, the Lord showed his heart over Africa and Reinhard got a vision of how precious Jesus' blood washed the whole of Africa, from Cape Town to Cairo, from Dakar to Djibouti. All of Africa needs to be reached and hear the proclamation of salvation - follow the Gospel.
Reinhard started his service in a tent with a capacity of only 800 people. But then it expanded rapidly until finally in 1984, Reinhard led the construction of a tent with a capacity of 34,000 people. Not long afterwards, his ministry continued to grow until finally Reinhard held an open-air service with 150,000 people. Since that time, Reinhard has led a 1.6 million attendance meeting. Reinhard uses a sound system tower that can be heard for miles.
It is now more than 30 years since Reinhard Bonnke established its international service 'Christ for all Nations' (CfaN), which has branch offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, England, Africa, Singapore and South America.
Since the beginning of the new millennium, Reinhard has been a guest star in most of Africa's events and other parts of the world with the goal of seeing 100 million people accept Jesus in this decade. And to date 42 million people have responded to the call of the gospel. CfaN also became an active sponsor of "Global Pastor's Network", a worldwide interdenominational movement that has a vision to reach 1 billion souls and plant 5 million churches worldwide over the next 10 years.
