About PathHackers-UAT Android App

PathHackers is a tailor-made mobile app for hiking lovers. It creates a new community-based, content-driven solution allowing hikers to enjoy, share and interact with other hikers, as well as helps improve hiking safety.

PathHackers helps users to form highly engaged and trusted hiking communities to support each other, with or without (in future) mobile data connectivity.

ENJOY
- Plan your path
- Track your progress
- Record your performance e.g. duration, total distance, average speed, pace, calories, elevation, etc...
- Build your memories e.g. take photos of your favourite scenic spots, points of interests, useful points, etc.

ENGAGE
- Add / follow other hiker users
- Share your paths to public / followers
- Interact with other users on comment and exchange experience on others' paths (in progress)

EMPOWER
- Form a hiking community-based SOS solution (in progress)
- Seek for instant help e.g. lack of water / food, provide first-aid or other supports from other hikers within PathHackers' community (in progress)
- Hack and follow others' paths, hike safely
- Provision of hiking knowledge, best practices and market news (in progress)


p.s. This application is performing user acceptance test and the data stored on our server in this environment would be cleared based on the data usage.
This application provides an offline backup solution where the tracks logged can be exported to GPX and KML format.
