HOW IT WORKS
Phone Discipline uses your phone's accelerometer and light sensors to determine when you are using your phone while laying down in bed. When you do this, it disables your phone until the next morning (or until you turn the lights back on - but if you do that then you're probably going to need more than an app to help you anyways...)
