About PlaceTrack - Find my Friends Android App
PlaceTrack turns your phone into a friend locator / GPS tracking device: locate your loved ones, check the speed they are travelling, get directions to their current location, view a street level picture of any place they’re are or they have been. Multi-client support: native app available on Android and iOS.

► live data: force a contact’s device to immediately send a fresh gps location; otherwise, your contacts’ location is periodically updated as they move using network location and other battery friendly strategies
► rich data: location data can include location history, speed, altitude, whether you’re walking, running, moving in a vehicle or resting
► passive and battery friendly: run in the background with no noticeable impact on battery life
► delayed sync: stores your locations when network is unreachable and pushes them to the PlaceTrack servers when you're back online
► in-app streetview images for friends’ location
► location sharing works using address book phone numbers: your phone number is authenticated through an sms code on your first activation
► your data, including your phone number and location, is always sent on a secure connection (ssl) and is never shared with any third party
► device battery level is shared along with location data
► you are in control: you set who sees your current location or who has access to your location history
► optionally share with anyone - no app required to view! PlaceTrack can also optionally share live location data through secret web urls: you can authorize anyone with web access to see where you are or where you have been.
► a Latitude-like web interface is in the works!
PlaceTrack is the best full-featured family tracking and location sharing platform available for Android and iOS and offers a similiar feature set as Google Latitude (now retired).
