About Pocket Alarm - Security System Android App

Pocket Alarm is an application which protects personal property from unauthorized access. You can easily secure your phone, room, or even a drawer or car.
Application itself relies on sensors which are built in majority of today’s smart-phones. Which sensors are to use, and how sensitive they will be is all up to user’s own preferences. Alarm will be triggered when one of the sensors notes values bigger than allowed. For now, Pocket Alarm is using two types of sensors. The first one is motion sensor which sets off the alarm when the device is moved from the original position. Another one relies on your built-in microphone, which tracks the environmental noise and triggers the alarm if it gets above the previously set value. More features are yet to be released, one of them is the location ring and a motion tracking camera. The app can be run in the background, also when the screen is locked.
Alarm can also be armed when we get too far from our phone. The app gives us a possibility of setting up a Bluetooth device, which presence is constantly scanned. In a case when such device is out of reach for our phone, the alarm will automatically arm, and will disarm when it gets detected back.
There is also a ‘’car mode’’ option, which arms the alarm when we take the keys out of the ignition switch and leave the vehicle, and disarms it when we turn the keys again in the ignition switch.
The application will automatically notify you when the alarm has been triggered. Notification ways include a siren, flash lamp and a notification on our notification bar. We can also receive a text message with the exact location of our phone, and confirmation if the alarm has been either armed or triggered. Additionally, the app can make a phone call when the alarm is triggered, or when the proper text message command is used. After answering to such call, we can hear what is happening around the device with armed alarm. Every activity can be seen at the ‘history’ panel whenever wanted. It can also be saved as a log file.
In order to spook a potential victim of our application the phone can play the loud siren sound, as well as any other desired sound. After combining it with an audio set, it can turn out very effective.
Pocket Alarm is a must have for any android-phone user. To be honest we never know when such application might prove itself useful, and as we all know it’s better to be safe than sorry.
