About Pointly - sms location sharing Android App
This is a BETA version, but looking for wider feedback than limited group.
Share your location to your family, friends, loved ones, privately, all via SMS!
App lets to share your location on demand when requested by other members of your private group. No data plan needed, all happens through SMS! Internet Permission only to send Crash Reports.
Integrates with Tasker / AutoVoice to trigger locating a family member with ease without touching a thing!
1. Setup a task in Tasker to open the app.
2. Use some variable like "%avcommnofilter" in the Data field.
3. Setup AutoVoice plugin to invoke this task. AutoVoice command can be something like "locate my", "find my", "where are you" etc.
4. When you say these commands followed by who you want to find like "locate my son", the app automatically launches a location find for that person. All happens automatically.
Data is not sent to any cloud servers. Does not run in background, so does not drain your battery. Totally on-demand.
