Private Notes allows you to enter and safely store short text notes that can only be viewed and edited if you have the correct password. Notes are encrypted for maximum security and cannot be viewed by other apps.
Enter a password when you start Private Notes.
Each note is displayed in a list. If the password is correct the first few lines will be displayed otherwise the message 'Wrong Password' is displayed. To change the password select 'Change password' from the options menu.
Tap 'New note' to create a new note, the note is automatically saved using the entered password. To save the note using a different password choose 'Change password' from the options menu.
For maximum security the password is cleared when the app is closed or paused whilst another app runs. To continue using app enter the password again.
Yes, enter the old password, view the note and select 'Change password'.
No, passwords are not stored by the app and cannot be retrieved.
Once you have entered your Android password other apps such as file browsers can find and read the contents of files.
Private Notes uses additional encryption to keep the contents of notes safe.
Private Notes are encrypted and stored safely, they cannot be viewed without the password.
