About Pua Explorer Android App
Pua Explorer is designed to digitally bring forth the woven pua motifs that are geometrically stylized within the design patterns of the Pua Kumbu. These motifs form the stories associated with the textile and are mostly nature-based. The morphing transition is embedded in the device and displayed through image-recognition programming. The interface adds a sketches onto each motif as the visitor slide over them. Then by tapping the motif, it’s morphs into the object it is referencing. The visitor is inside, with the pua, the information space is shared and layered on to the physical artefact.
