Ce projet de réseau radiophonique a été conçu en 1991 sous le nom de radio Konbit dans le cadre d’une démarche visant l’intégration nationale par la décentralisation. Le projet visait à rompre l’isolement des provinces face à la centralisation de toutes les des décisions, activités et même de l’information de la capitale. La province devrait avoir ainsi sa propre VOIX.

Le processus de mise en place a été interrompu en septembre 1991 et repris en janvier 1998 sous le nom de Sans Souci FM. Le nom et la stratégie ont changé à la suite de l’assassinat tragique en aout 1994 de l’un des promoteurs du projet.This radio network project was conceived in 1991 under the name Konbit radio as part of a process to national integration through decentralization. The implementation process was interrupted in September 1991 and resumed in January 1998 under the name of Sans Souci FM. The name and strategy have changed following the tragic assassination in August 1994 of one of the project sponsors.
