About Remote Fake GPS Android App
THIS A TOOL FOR DEVELOPERS - THIS APP IS NOT MEANT TO FAKE YOUR LOCATION FOR GAMES
This app helps you demo or record a screenplay of your application.
Once started you can set your device's location to anywhere using a web browser.
How to use it?
1. First enable the developer settings on your device
To enable the developer settings go to settings > about phone > and click on the android version about 7 times.
2. In the developer options enable mock locations / set the app allowed to mock locations to 'Remote Fake GPS'
4. Open the app, take not of the device id that is displayed
5. On your computer, go to https://remote-fake-gps.appspot.com?id=XXX where XXX is the device that is displayed by the application
6. By moving the red marker, the device's location will update
7. When stopping the app, you might need to disable/enable the GPS to force the device to refresh its location
How does it work?
When started a mock location provider is set up and the device registers to GCM push notifications.
When the red marker is moved on the map, a push notification is sent to the device with coordinates.
