At ASPACE SEVILLA we are pleased to publish a tale called "Renata's Street" It is aimed at addressing the issue of disability, specially that of cerebral palsy, in an entertaining and realistic manner.
Written two years ago, it intends to infuse children with positive attitudes that afford them an insight into disabilities as a normal part of life. It allows them to realise it is the surroundings, rather than the disability itself, that keeps this group of disabled people from integrating into society.
As well as children and parents, this tale proved successful amongst the teaching community, paving the way for many papers on diversity. This encouraged us to turn the original tale into an interactive application, adding features such as narration and content in various languages, music and a fair degree of animation, thus making it a contemporary tool whose message can go across borders.
