is a location-based alarming system. Think of it like your travel buddy who will poke you just before you are about to reach your destination.


Going to a new city, hopping on to a new route or just casually need something to be reminded when you are approaching a certain place? Use Road Rooster to schedule an alarm and chill a little. You can decide on a distance i.e. how long before you will like to be alerted. Whenever the device comes within that range, the app triggers an alarm; letting you know that you are about to reach your destination. You can stick a note, and it will slip it along as well.


Although the app has yielded good efficiency for smaller perimeters, it is suggested that the perimeter should be kept at a higher value for better outcome. For smaller perimeter, the app needs better accuracy and thereby can miss a place if the signal is not strong. But, block-level locations can be determined by cellular/wi-fi networks. Therefore it is suggested to use roosters with larger fencing radius to increase the success rate. Oh, by the way, you can always snooze it thereafter ;)


For the roosters to work correctly, you are requested to keep your location services turned on during the transit session. Tracking location itself is a battery expensive procedure and hence can drain a little more juice out of your box. If you are a user who keeps location on throughout the day, you won't be experiencing a difference.
