About Route Organizer Android App
Traveling and want to save time and fuel?
The Route Organizer application optimizes any route and displays the most efficient order for traveling to the desired destinations. The application utilizes a simple minimalist interface for ease of use, saves routes for future use, and aids in quickly retrieving directions via Google Maps.
To use, simply add a route and then add destinations by their addresses. The route displays all destinations in travel order and is optimized upon each update.
Route Organizer uses GPS coordinates to solve the traveling salesman problem which calculates the shortest path for traveling to all destinations from the starting point and back. Application uses an "as the crow flies" approach and does not account for traffic and actual road distances. Currently, only 10 destinations may be optimized per a route due to computational limitations however support for more may be added in the future.
